I made this scale by translating a simple western major chord progression into the i'Ade (Chromatic) scale. I was meaning to make an equivalent of the major scale, but the second half of the chord progression shows that it is able to make very dark chords. I think the chords sound powerful and orderly, but still somber and dark. Hence the name I Bente, literally translating (in a older version of the language) Of Fenti (Also Fenti is highest god of the primary religion).
I think it would make sense that a long time ago this had cultural significance among the Northern Tribe-- Which popularized the religion-- and now because of colonialism it has sort of lost its original meaning and just become a normal musical device.
I'm starting to get used to i'Etade music. I'm pretty confident that I can make a full song eventually.
