Hearts are delicate things. They are both given and received by all. Some do not know how to give their hearts, and some don't want to. Ones who receive hearts are either not careful or they worship the heart as it should be. Those with broken hearts are wounded, the breakers of these hearts, either cruel and villainous or reasonable and kind. There are all sorts of ways to break a heart. But some wounds in a heart can be fixed. If treated properly. Well, this is something of that concept. This is the story of a woman of who we'll come to know as Kaede. Kaede was a beautiful woman, a perfect soul to go along with her perfect looks. She was very kind and graceful, the perfect painting on the canvas. Of course, she had a few flaws, of which weren't noticeable...Kaede was well known around her village. She helped the people of the village with their daily errands and whatnot. Many of the boys in her village fell in love with her, some for her looks, others for her kindness. One day, she would be applied into an arranged marriage and settle. Of course, it wasn't hard to find suitors. Once she had found the one, the marriage started out smoothly as any one would. They had their ups and downs, but they still loved each other. At least, she did. Her husband came home late, regardless of the short worktimes. He'd always come home tired...So she'd follow him to work to figure out why. After work, he'd leave to someone's house. The homes he went to changed every time. She couldn't possibly intude. Could she? Of course, her curiosity got the better of her. There her husband was, being unfaithful. She was greatly upset...Her heartbreak and rage spread to every part of her being, her heart filled with immense sorrow and unknown emotions. He'd been doing this ever since he got a job...Kaede, heartbroken, fled into the woods, now alone and lonely. A snake was nearby, but she didn't run. She didn't fight it. She simply let it bite her and lay there to die. True, the snake bites killed her, but the heartbreak hurt worse. Out of the wounds of her heart crawls a demon....the wounds never to be healed again.
