Once again we have a dragon design that I had no idea what I was going to do with it at first. All I knew what that I wanted to make this Light dragon a leviathan, but I didn’t want to make it a fully aquatic-looking one like most of the leviathans I’ve drawn before- the Frigid Leviathan I drew earlier this week being a prime example. So to that end, I made this dragon essentially a normal European-style dragon with some extra aquatic features, namely a tail fin and some smaller fins on the legs. I did a pretty similar design with one of my original Shadow dragons years ago, and I figured if I could make it work with that one I could do the same with this one as well, though this guy is a good bit chunkier than its shadowy cousin. I also wanted to try mixing some orange into the color scheme along with the typical shades of yellow I use for the Light element, and after some trial and error I think I managed to get it looking pretty nice if I do say so myself! So yeah, despite to having a plan for this dragon I still think it turned out pretty good, so I hope you guys like it as well and I’ll see you again tomorrow for the final dragon of this set!
