For those of you who aren’t aware, all of the Metal-element dragons I’ve ever drawn has been based off of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, which may seem completely random- and to be fair it is- but it’s a trend that I’ve always liked ever since I came up with the idea, so I’m still continuing with it now. This one being based off of the famous Stegosaurus, the basic idea was to make this dragon a wyrm sporting the same iconic back plates and tail spikes as this dinosaur. But while I was drawing it, I decided to take this one step further by making the plates more curved so the look like blades, thus allowing this dragon to curl itself into a ring and spin like a giant sentient buzzsaw. Is it a ridiculous idea? Yes. Is it an idea I still really like? Also yes! So we’re sticking with it! I also really like the color scheme I came up with for this one, as while it’s a pretty simple one I still really like it, plus it works well with the aesthetic I was going for here which makes it even better in my eyes! So with all that said, I hope you guys enjoy this incredibly sharp giant snake dragon and I’ll be back tomorrow for something that will (hopefully) be a bit less bizzare.
