Just like with the original Silver Broadwing, my older version of this dragon was a very lackluster design compared to my more recent designs, especially with its old name: Crimson Spear Wyvern. Not only was it super simple, it didn’t even suggest a connection to the Wind element in any way, so my first objective was to come up with a much better title to give this creature. And to that end I’m very satisfied with what I’ve come up, as it not only keeps the vibe of the original name but it sounds more interesting and clearly establishes that this is in fact a Wind dragon. As for changes to the design itself, I drew this version in the exact same pose as the original with some adjustments to the proportions, and as I said I would earlier I added in some splashes of hot pink to better connect it with its element. If you’re confused about what that means, look at my notes for the Broadwing. I don’t feel like I changed this one as much as I thought I would’ve, but to be honest the changes I’ve already made feel like just enough to me, so I can’t see anything else I need to adjust for this one. So on that note, I hope everyone enjoys our new and improved aerial expert of impalement!
