Myntera, Goddess of Snakes and Wealth

โ€œThe gift of wealth is not given, it is earned.โ€-Myntera. Long ago, in the land of snakes, there rules Myntera. She gifted mortals with wealth and prosperity. Peace was held between mortals and the gods. However, it didnโ€™t last long. For some grew greedy of Mynteraโ€™s gifts, and some took advantage of this, causing havoc upon mortals. One memorable mortal was Jagaan. A great warrior, but not pure of heart. For he was also influenced by Mynteraโ€™s gift. But, since he wasnโ€™t pure of heart, he did not receive Mynteraโ€™s gifts. Angered by this, he visited the Garden of Treasure and Serpents to speak to Myntera. He begged Myntera to gift him, but she refused. Jagaan refused to accept it, and killed Mynteraโ€™s snakes, which infuriated her greatly. As a result, Myntera turned him into a snake and locked him away until he had a change of heart. It is also said that some mortals can speak to snakes, which is a rare ability to possess. If one can speak the language, they can perform the dance of the snake, a method to please Myntera and be gifted with great wealth and protection.
