Alena is...different from Akita. Well, ofc she is, as she's a fully formed alter. But...magic has presented differently too, and she's changed, learned to trust a little more, has friends... and has learned to straddle the line of protection and control.

Her magic is different now, specifically her magic that interacts with Astra. Lightfire magic. It has given her access to fire magic- the magic of Akita's father. It also makes her stronger, and faster, able to move as light does, sense magic and their lightfire in their souls, and have the strength of something beyond mortal... She can destroy life easier, yet she values it more as of now... She's changed, but is all the more dangerous.
