"Dear Diary.

Sometimes I think this isn't working, it doesn't seem to work no matter how many times I write about my day and my feelings. But something else is helping me. After William left us, Andrew always seemed to be so sad, always so down. He didn't want to leave his room for anything, whether the kids of our town called him to play outside, he told me he didn't "want to go right now", he didn't even leave his room to eat properly, and that always broke my heart. Maybe because you don't have any children you can't relate to this but, seeing my own son like that was worse than anything on Earth. Yet something changed: he has been smiling more, going outside more, even making new friends after he changed schools. Maybe he is already over this, God, Am I that pathetic that a twelve year old can move on and not me? Anyways, he has been bringing this boy over, I guess his name is Vincent if I'm not mistaken. They've become very good friends, and I can't help but feel so happy for my little deer. He was never the best at making friends... Oh! And I, myself, even made new friends after he started bringing him over! Vincent’s parents are super sweet! I don't believe his father is the best person to be around, so I kept my friendship with his mother. She always prepares tea and we watch them play! They always come dirty from exploring this forest looking place we have next to the playground after trying to catch some kind of epic beetle or however they call those little creatures. – Hah, Andrew loves beetles, it's even concerning to say at least! – They're always in the woods, looking for insects and animals to take care of and to observe...I told them to be careful when going to the woods since there are many bears near where we live. At least they are always coming back safely. You know... it's been very hard to forget about it. You know how much I loved William, how I'd give up on everything to see him again, just once more. But at least he is what makes me continue going."
