I’m going to admit it, this design is a kind of a weird one. I wanted to try my hand and creating a Lightning-element Hydra, and when thinking about what direction to take that idea I decided to take inspiration from both positive and negative electric charges. I know that this elemental magic system I’ve created for the world I’m building doesn’t work based on real-world science or anything, but that doesn’t mean I can’t pull inspiration from it in my work! So with that idea in mind, I created a two-headed Hydra with each head representing one of the two charge types- the red one representing positive charge and the blue one representing negative charge- and king of worked the rest of the design around that. The end result looks a little bit funky to me, most in terms of the pose it’s in and the shape it takes as a result, but in spite of that I still think it works decently well so for the time being I’m gonna be sticking with this. Like I said at the start of this week, this set of dragons is mostly meant to be just for fun instead of actually being canon to my fantasy world, so they don’t really need to work perfectly anyways. But with all of that said, I hope you guys like this funny-looking hydra and I’ll be back next week for the second half of this extra set of dragons!
