This is a story about a girl who always changed herself for the approval of others. Meet Leah. Or, at least, that's what she calls herself. Her real name is Jillian. But she highly dislikes her name.
She stands at the bus stop, her bag on her shoulder. She was a freshman in high school. Middle school wasn't exactly her best era. It was full of endless bullying, gossip, and crowded hallways. LOTS of crowded hallways... Thankfully, this year was a fresh start from that. But she still couldn't get away from the 'friends' who talked about her behind her back. True, she talked bad about them too, but at least she wasn't the one spreading rumors. Of course, they'd always have SOMETHING to say either about her or one of the loyal friends she had left because that's ALL they talk about. And yet it always ended with-
"Hey," A voice called out to Leah. Robin May, one of her close friends. Robin was tall, she had tanned skin and brown eyes, and she always wore something purple.
"Robin. Hi," Leah replied with a small wave.
"Looking forward to today?" Robin asked.
"More than anything. This four-day weekend better be worth it," She replied.
"Yeah," Robin muttered. "Especially with all that's going on,"
"You bet," She whispered back with a sigh.
"Oh, look, the bus is here. Come on, Leah!" Robin said, already getting on the bus.
They get on the bus and sit down next to each other. Like every morning, it was noisy. Boys screaming and yelling like they're still in preschool, girls laughing their heads off like hyenas because of god knows what, and then there was Leah and Robin. Quiet as a mouse. Leah used to be friends with those girls. The ones who laugh endlessly about certain nonsense. Of course, she wasn't anymore because they had no idea what loyalty was and randomly kicked her out of the friend group. She even wore a blonde wig to hide her true hair color, of which she still wears to this day. Not even she knows why she's still wearing it. Of course, she still had a few friends. There's Robin, the girl she'd known since...well, her whole life, it seems like, Aya, the transfer student with schizophrenia, Nate, some athletic kid who appeared out of nowhere, Aron, nicknamed 'Twice' because he has a split personality disorder. THAT was going to matter from now on. THAT was all that DID matter.
