(Yes this is before they dyed his hair! They actually dyed it the following day in celebration!)
~Leo~
I stood in line, waiting for my name to be called. The gym was practically humming with energy as each person received their high school diploma, like a spark of electricity was racing around the room. Soon enough, it would be my turn and I'd leave the school forever. What a thought it was, to be done. My class was large, around 200 people, so it took so long... My foot tapped on the cement floor, anxiously awaiting my name. Finally, the person ahead of me was called. I smiled as she did a little twirl after hugging the principle. It was one of my friends, Isla, who I once had a crush on. She was sweet and kind and beautiful.
"LEO ROMERO!" the announcer called. I was surprised to see tears in her eyes. It was one of my favorite teachers, but I didn't realize how much of an impact I made on her life. I stopped to hug her quick before crossing the stage to receive my diploma. As I did so, I heard Akita, Ash, Ivy, and...Myla Fox, my crush and best friend cheering loudly. A grin split over my face as I left the stage to go off to the photo area. I was OUT. No more school that I was forced to go to.
I felt a rush of pride. I had made it out of high school. With good grades and honors too. Now I had finished that part of my life, and had finished it well. It was time for a new chapter, and a whole lot of congratulations from my family.
