I’ve been feeling kind of low-energy today, so I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get in this drawing today, but I’ve mustered up the will to go ahead with it anyways. So, for the first of my Earth-element creatures, I wanted to base it off of an animal that’s known for being strong and tough. The kind of creature that can charge head-first into any situation and come out with barely a scratch on them- a mentality I’ve always associated with this element- , and in that regard no animal felt more appropriate than the Black Rhino. It took me a little while to figure out how to distribute its colors the best, but after comparing the two options I came up with I think this one is my favorite, with the grey stone armor looking much better than the more sandstone-y look of the other one. I’ll be making use of that sandy/desert look with the next creature I have planned though, so look forward to that and enjoy this big bruiser in the meantime!
