Sun'paw creeped out of the medicine den, stumbling as his paws were still weak with the dreams of sleep. Still, he trotted out, determined to see what was going on in the clearing only to be greeted with a ghastly sight.

His friend, Deer'speckle, lies wounded at the bottom of the leader's den, trying desperately to stand back up. High on the ledge looming over the spotted brown tom stood Sun'paw's mentor, Golden'web, a murderous gleam in his eye.

Before Sunpaw could do anything more the golden tabby leaped down, slamming onto the injured tom. Sunpaw felt his hackles rise as he crouched closer to the ground, hugging the dirty surface, hoping for the scene in front of him to stop.

By now most of the warriors have poked their heads out of their dens, wondering what the commotion was. Elk'stalk scrambling into the camp clearing, clearly ready for a fight, a fight that he wasn't granted. With the attention now focused on Golden'web, he turned to flee, not without one last look at his beloved apprentice, leaving all eyes and questions to Sun'paw.
