Teug itself begun to coalesce in a region rich in gas. However shortly after Teug started nuclear fusion a nearby supernova striped away all the gas replacing it with massive amounts of 'heavy' elements. This large amounts of heavy elements would begin to coalesce into Yilit which would snowball in mass leaving little material lift over for its siblings resulting in several platelets getting kicked out of the Teug system.
