This has got to be another personal favorite design of mine, mostly because of how long it took to come up with a good idea for it. This was actually the 3rd idea I had for my fifth water dragon, and once I’d actually drew it I instantly knew it was the best of those concepts. There was only one issue I had with my previous version, and that was the sail looked like it was attached halfway up its neck, and the more I looked at it the more wrong it felt to keep it that way. So with this new version, I completely redrew the torso and the sail to fix that little issue, and unknowingly make the whole thing look much sleeker in the process. Fitting for a dragon based on a Spinosaurus, I’d say. Aside from that and some very slight color changes, the design remains completely unchanged since this is still one of my best creations. Hope everyone enjoys this newly upgraded semi-aquatic apex predator!
