Galia watched as the scene took place. She knew that she had to do something, since she did owe the King a favour. And plus, even though she couldn’t choose sides, she didn’t like the look of the attacker.

Shaki thought she saw a glimmer of silver somewhere to her right. Not another one, she thought.
“SHINTO!” a strange voice boomed. The glimmer of silver came closer.
“How do you know my name?” the attacker — Shinto — demanded. The knife in Shinto’s hand flew to the glimmer and Topi kicked him. She freed herself, and Shaki took the opportunity to build up the earth around his feet.

Shinto tried to run away, but he couldn’t move his feet. His knife was gone, he was stuck, and this creepy woman had strange powers.
𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒆? He asked himself. To be honest, there was probably a punishment way worse heading his way.

Galia threw the knife to the side and turned her attention to the girl with the bright blue hair — Shaki.
“So, this is the one they want?” she implied. She didn’t need an answer, given that she could read minds.
“Yes, we were taking her to the King of the Elves.” Siobhan replied anyways. Galia didn’t always read people’s minds, she liked to feel normal sometimes.
“Leave him here,” she instructed. “We must move with all haste to reach the King.”

Étoilette woke up laying there on the lawn. Jaelyn was standing above her.
“It’s about time you woke up. The boss isn’t happy.” Jaelyn sounded serious. She had always been kind to Étoilette, so she knew that something was really wrong. She knew what was wrong: she let them get away. Jaelyn helped her up and they headed back to their hideout.

Topi was grateful that this stranger saved her life, but she didn’t know who she was. She just hoped that whoever this was had some means of transportation for them.
~-~-~
Galia turned down the street to where she had hidden their mode of transportation. She just hoped they’d all be able to handle it.

Jaelyn entered the small, dark room with Étoilette just behind her. Even though their boss wore a mask, she could imagine the psychotic smile on his face.
“Well, well, well,” he began. Psycho picked up a knife and began to examine it.
“You should know by now why I have not killed you yet,” he continued. “Your powers are valuable to me, but still, something must be done.” He swiped at Étoilette with the knife, and a thin red line appeared.
“Fail me again, and I will not be so gracious.” he cackled. Jaelyn was stunned but she knew that her boss wasn’t named Psychopath for nothing.

Siobhan turned the corner after their helper and was stunned by the four beasts in front of her.
