The calm period of our fishing season is almost over, a time when the waves are rather gentle and the giant creatures lurking in the water either slumber or stay near the bottom of the sea, and as a fisherman who can't swim, Captain said it was best I find a new job for the time being. That is, I don't know what I'd be good for. My crewmates said there were plenty of jobs posted around town, and they were right, but none of them seemed to catch my interest. I decided my best bet at finding a good job would be at the mainboard near the center of town. Although the board is hard to find due to the sheer amount of foliage and market stalls there are.
I make my way from the docks to the town center, on my way greeting those I know. Strange enough the center was rather empty, not as many stalls out today. It also seems that the plants growing near the board have been cleared, which usually happens if the plants get out of control or something important has been listed. It seems I'm not the only one looking for work as multiple people have been crowded around, all looking at the same thing. I too, take a look. 'Now that's interesting, it seems our government wishes to explore again. There's a poster talking about screening for it, I'll keep that in mind.' I look again at the other signs, nothing else seemed too important so I turn away and make my way back to the coast.
"Dielli, my boy, where have you been!?" The captain's voice echoed from in front, "We've been waiting for you so we can set sail, can't leave one of my trusty crew behind. I also hope you don't mind if we take on an extra passenger, he'll be working with us as payment for a trip to Bellspring."
A man smaller than your average height walked up and introduced himself as Rryma. My eyes were plastered to his face, the right half of which was covered with a simple mask. His hair was a curly mess of blue, getting darker near the roots. It's not too strange to have such vibrant colors of hair nowadays, but it's still rare enough to attract attention. We gathered what remained of the supplies on the dock and mounted the ship, leaving this small fishing town for the open water.
