Okay, so- the bunny is not what the actual character looks like. It's a character in a pretty popular children's show. His buddy is a hyper dog. But there's secrets about the show. For starters, there were earlier seasons, forgotten and lost, that weren't popular at all and had different characters, the work was shoddy at best. Behind the scenes the actual show scenes were acted out in front of a camera, to cut time, with actual children. The co-star, the dog, failed the director's ideas and started realizing how screwed what they were doing was, and started to change in personality, visibly, ruining their product. Eventually they killed the dog, and used their body still as a puppet, shoving the bunny even farther into a depth of indifference.

The kids were all kidnapped, and most currently dead. The rabbit was saved and now lives with his mother, but he struggles to realize that that is, indeed, his mom, as well as struggling how to understand other kids his age, as he acts a bit too childish, or no reaction at all.
