Out of every single dragon I’ve drawn on this site, this is the one that needed a redesign the most, and badly. The original was the most generic dragon design I’d even seen by a long shot -heck I even pointed it out back when I wrote lore and ecology for all of my dragons- so the fact that I never felt the need to upgrade it before this point is baffling to me. With that in mind, the number 1 thing that needed enhancement was the color scheme, or rather the lack-there-of. I decided to add some darker grey to the top side and the feet, originally to emulate dark clouds but they ended up looking more like armor, but I think it looks good so I’m sticking with it. The other main color change was replacing the pale blue of the original with a pale purple, mainly to fit it in better with the Harpygon, my first Wind dragon. That light purple/magenta color is supposed to be the main representative color for the Wind element in my world, like how red is for Fire and yellow is for Lightning, so expect to see something similar happen with the rest of my Wind dragons down the line. Sorry if that was a bit of a read but I had a lot say about this redesign, and even though it took much longer that I thought it would I’m pretty happy with how this titan of the skies has turned out this time, so I hope all of you enjoy it as well!
