Ok this is going to sound really weird to say out loud, but this was actually one of the harder redesigns I’ve done so far. I know that doesn’t make any sense given how little I actually changed, but there’s a very good reason for that. And that reason being this is easily one of my favorite designs I’ve made. Just like with the Abyssveil Hydra from a little while ago, I feel like every part of this dragon just came together perfectly, so finding anything to change that didn’t ruin that was a legitimate struggle for me. Even integrating the purple/magenta color into it like I said I’d do for all of my Wind dragons was hard, as I had to not only find a shade that matched well with the cyan I already had, but I also had to figure out where to put those new splashes of color for the best look. I kid you not I spent well over half an hour just experimenting with color combos and patterns to figure this out, but I honestly feel like it was worth it to land on what I’ve decided on now, which I think is the best option I could’ve found that didn’t make it look too cluttered. Sorry if that was a bit long-winded (pun intended) but I had a lot to get off my chest there, so my thanks for bearing with me through that. Now that all that’s said and done, I’m going to be taking a break from these for a day or two, so until I return I hope you all enjoy our upgraded serpent of the cyclone!
