This giant monster (known as the Rhedosaurus) appeared in the 1953 film "The Beast from 20000 Fathoms", one year before the very first Godzilla movie has hit theaters (which is in Japanese).

In case you don't know-the word "fathom" is a word for measurement. One fathom equals six feet / two yards. So the Rhedosaurus came from 120000 feet under water (40000 yards).
