Well everyone, we’ve finally come to the grand finale: the last set of enemy creatures I’ll be creating for this project, at least for the time being. I won’t spoil anything about my side plans for this project, so for now consider these Shadow-element creatures to be the end. For this element then, my choices for which animals I wanted to use were pretty much set in stone from the very beginning, and for the first one I figured nothing would be more fitting to use than a bat. Bats are probably the most well known of all nocturnal aminals (at least where I live they are), and their ability to navigate in complete darkness thanks to their echolocation makes them a perfect fit for a creature of Shadow. It took me a bit of time to figure out what I wanted to do color scheme-wise for this guy, but after fiddling with it for a little while it came together very nicely. Plus I think it’ll set the precedent for how I draw the other 4 Shadow creatures later this week, so in both regards I’m very happy with how this one came out. So I hope you guys enjoy this guy as much as I do, and I’ll be back tomorrow for the next creature in the set!
