His wings are very important to him as well as to the "family" that accepted him in. When constant riots and fights broke out in the kingdom he would go to help the wounded, one person was outraged that he chose to not pick sides instead only chose to heal and attacked him, terribly mangling his right wing and damaging the other. Many years later a Searcher was terribly angry at what he chose to do, heal people. The Searcher attacked him out of nowhere, harming the already mangled wing to the point where it needed to be removed, the left wing was left in the state like the previous right wing. This man just wanted to help people.

"Why do you have wings mister?"

"I do not know, maybe an abstract interpretation of a wish."

"What was your wish?"

"To see the sky clearly again."
