Zotto got his 'abilities' from his father. He loved his dad greatly and was proud that his dad wished to try to help the dead move on. Although as the years passed Zotto started to notice that his father was a lot more tired and disinterested in doing daily tasks, the job his dad took on was wearing him down. He later disappeared, giving Zotto no indication of where he went or if he's okay, leaving Zotto to dread the abilities given to him in fear the same thing will happen to him too.
