Island Wars

Players: Tan, Dark Green, Pale Green, Orange, Yellow, Pink (This is also the order of play).
Each player has these types of pieces in their color: Barracks (pyramid-shaped), Defense Towers (topless pyramid), and ports (hex with outline). Different colors get a different number of game pieces, as follows:
Tan: 3B, 2DT, 2P
Dark Green: 2B, 2DT, 3P
Pale Green: 3B, 2DT, 2P
Orange: 3B, 1DT, 3P
Yellow: 2B, 3DT, 2P
Pink: 4B, 1DT, 2P
Taking Turns:
Players may place one of their free pieces anywhere in their territory. Different types of pieces have the following effects:
Barracks cause all adjacent hexes of another color to change to the player's color, unless a hex is protected by another player's Defense Tower, or the hex is occupied by another player's piece.
Defense Towers prevent all adjacent hexes of that player's color to be changed by another player placing a Barracks. Once placed, Defense towers may not move.
Ports "secure" the water hexes adjacent to them. They also allow the player to place another piece (like a Defense Tower or a Barracks) on any land hex adjacent to one of their "secured" water hexes on further turns, even if it is not a hex of their color. Ports may not be placed adjacent to any water hex already secured by another player's port.
In addition, instead of placing a piece, a player may change the placement of any of their active ports and/or barracks on the board. If a player moves a barracks that had changed the color of any adjacent hex, those hexes remain as the color they were changed to on subsequent turns (unless another player places a barracks to claim any of those hexes for their own). If a player moves a port, however, they are effectively "abandoning" the adjacent water hexes, which now behave as if they are no longer secured by that player's port. Any Barracks or Defense Towers placed adjacent to a previously "secured" water hex that has since been "abandoned" may remain in play and continue to affect all their adjacent hexes.
The game is over after 12 rounds (there's a counter at the top). Score is counted as so:
All plain hexes in a players' color are worth 1 point;
All barracks, ports, and defense towers are worth 1 point;
All secured water hexes are worth 1 point (if they are secured by multiple ports, they are not counted twice).
All players with 2 or more separate territories in their color score an extra point for each of their territories that contain at least 3 hexes.
The player with the highest score wins.
A simplified gameboard for three players has been added.
