If these sprites were to be animated the running sprite for Rosalina would switch from standing to running to make it look like Rosalina is running. However, for Luma his running animation would just be the running sprite but all he'll do is move up and down so it looks like he's flying fast.

The climbing sprites for Luma in this image are for Luma either going up or Luma going down. Rosalina's climbing sprites are used for both going up and down.
