I was messing with parallelograms, turned some of them into triangles, and got this, which reminds me of thorns or barbed wire. The numbers indicate the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the parallelograms with the horizontal dimensions representing pairs (Dimension of 5 = 10 triangles across) since they must be added or taken away in pairs for the shape to be correct.

I created the center one first but found that the 6x9 dimensions caused it to slowly shift to the right. I did some thinking and tinkering until I found that 5x7 allowed for a perfectly vertically repeating pattern.

I think I would like to put this pattern on clothes, perhaps running up the side of pant legs like adidas stripes.
