its a tv thingy btw
the first design of y0-ku is weirdly cute to me... and tiny... why did i never draw them with more pixels
also y0-ku with a mouth and long legs is cursed and it still haunts my nightmares to this day

uh idk how to explain it
basically machines are all known by an internal thing called a "serial number" which is a series of numbers and letters
model numbers are like that but with each model, or variant of the machine, instead of each individual one
so yeah Y0-KU is easy to look at and pronounce but the O being replaced with a 0 and the dash in the middle make it look like a serial/model number which people think is fitting for robot names

yes but spelled Y0-KU because I (and clearly some others) Are obsessed with turning serial numbers and model numbers into names for robots
