here are some concepts i made using the new shapes!!
i wish you could change the background color in different parts of the grid too but that would essentially mean layers and i think that's pretty far away from what we have right now

in the slot/mouth/eye thing (idk what it is lol) of the amorphous blob, i used the octagon tool with the idea of using the background to make slightly more nuanced textures, and i think that would work pretty well on a larger scale, but here i noticed that the octagons slightly overlap with the pixels around them, and i wonder if we could use that to our advantage to make more complex patterns
