And here it is, the final member of my Year of the Dragon collection, and one of the first ideas I came up with for it, my Shadow amphithere! I fell in love with this design as soon as I drew it for the first time, and with the changes I’ve given it this time it truly feels complete. Firstly I swapped out that super bright purple on the wings and underbelly for a darker shade, which melds with the rest of the color scheme a lot better than before. Speaking of the wings, I extended their tips to make them a bit bigger, redrew the marking on the upper membrane to fill more of the space, and extended the marking of the arm itself for the same reason. And last but not least, I added a single black pixel underneath the eye to connect to another of my amphitheres: the Solarian Flarewing. This is meant to allude to the in-universe origins of this dragon, being a group of Flarewings that became trapped in DarkSpace- a pocket dimension that only wielders of Shadow magic can access-and got corrupted by its magic, eventually evolving into these forms and adapting to use the Shadow element over Fire so they could escape. Didn’t mean to get into that much lore with this description, but I just couldn’t help myself. Sorry about that.
