Want to learn how to do Lighting and shading? Well then you have come to the right place. to begin with look at the RED ball. too add lighting add white or a lighter version of the color your using and make a jelly bean shape only on top though. Make it seem like there is a spotlight pointing down on the image. the BLUE shape is another example of lighting. Now go down to the YELLOW shape you can see the lighting but now you can also see shading ,now go to the side of the image oposite to the side with lighting as you get further from the lighting slowly make the color darker and keep adding. Now finnally for Outlining go to the ORANGE shape outlining is quite simple but can improve the appearance of your art greatly. You simpily outline the entire image with a lighter or darker version of the color you are using. Now if you look at each shape you can see how they improve (don't include BLUE). Now for the last one look at the 5TH image how it changes from white to red to black. that is called fading (changing from one color to another) it is the leaste commonly used detail but is also the most difficult you do not have to shade quite as slowly as i did but it can come in usefull for larger projects.
