Remember when I said that creating a Water-element wyrm was the perfect excuse for me to draw a sea serpent? Well I also decided to create a Wind-element leviathan as an excuse to draw what is essentially a sky whale! Such creatures are very popular in other fantasy worlds I’ve heard about, so I figured it would be a cool idea to create one for mine as well. I also had a really cool idea to do with the color scheme of this dragons, as I wanted to try and include orange in the color pallets along with the typical shades of purple, magenta, and pink I use to represent the Wind element. I figured this would give it a sort of sunset/sunrise vibe to the design, so I tired my best to play into that as well. Unfortunately, it was actually really hard for me to figure out how to implement all of those colors into this design in a way that I liked, and legitimately took me all morning to come up with something I thought worked. The final result you see now still isn’t 100% perfect in my opinion, but I do think it’s the best iteration of it that I can come up either way right now, and either way I do still think it’s the best looks pretty good! I’m more that likely going to go back and try to improve upon it at some point in the future anyways, but until that happens I hope you guys all enjoy this gentle floating giant and I’ll be back tomorrow for a design that’ll probably be even harder to draw that this one was! (Wish me luck on that one)
