This time I’m keeping my promise! I said I’d be back with the last Shadow dragon today, and so here it is! This was a surprisingly difficult redesign to make, as the main thing I wanted to change was replacing the circular bioluminescence patterns on the torso with ones that looked a bit more natural. However as you can see, I couldn’t for the life of me come up with something that worked for that concept and looked good at the same time, so I’m begrudgingly keeping them the same, at least for now. As for what’s actually changed, I gave the wings and the base of the tail a little extra bulk, since they both looked a little too thin for my tastes, added a stripe along the tail to make it look less empty, and added a little extra bright blue to the wing membranes and tail fin for the exact same reason. I also reshaped the outermost edge of the wings so they’d look much smoother and of course changed the name to something much less generic-sounding. I just realized that this means I’ve changed the names of all but one of my original five Shadow dragons, but I honestly feel like I didn’t put much thought into them the first time so I’m perfectly fine with this. However, this redesign completed does mark the end of my redesigning series… or it would If I didn’t have one more to do. Look forward to that one tomorrow- and I swear I’m not going to forget this time- and until then I hope you all enjoy this mysterious little leviathan!
