In a way, today’s redesign feels like a complete inversion of the last one. Whereas with the Glowrazor I kept the name identical and changed all but one part of the actual art, this one is virtually the same design as before- spare for a slight change to the side markings- the name has been almost totally redone. Like with some of the other dragons I’ve done over the last few months, the first part of this one’s new name is meant to reference the in-universe location they call home. The second part on the other hand is a reference to their signature ability: using the scales on their backs to create hard light constructs like Green Lantern from DC Comics, or in other words solid holograms. This power was the main idea I had in mind when I came up with this dragon, and since the old name didn’t have as good of a ring to it I thought giving it a new one that references that would be much better, and it certainly sounds better to me as of now. So I hope everyone likes the new name as much as I do, and I’ll see you again tomorrow for the last of the Light dragons!
