With this year drawing to a close in a just another month, the sun setting on 2023, it only feels fitting that the last set of element dragons to be redesigned are those who’ve fully embraced the darkness. To start of the Shadow dragon revamps, we have my very first attempt at drawing something with three heads, the Nightfall Hydra. I always loved the way this creature came out, as it was the best I could to make a design with all three heads showing look good, with the only part I wasn’t fully satisfied with being the wings. To fix that issue, I added a gradient effect to them with 3 different shades of purple, which on top of the 2 this guy already had might make the dragon with the highest number of different colors I’ve made so far. I also decided to change the name a little bit to reference the in-universe location where these guys live, just as I’ve done with several other dragons before. With those two changes I finally feel like this dragon is complete, so I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do and I’ll see you tomorrow for the next one!
