He was torchered and abused when he was very young.

He has a lot of scars, his horns are broken, and got his arm and leg chopped off.

He has his hair long because he doesn't trust people and he doesn't like sharp objects which are both related to his trauma.

he only technically trusts Mr.Monocle because when he got away from his Family (the people who torched him) he started stealing food from him. Mr Monocle new this and he let Mo because he was a hurt kid and eventually Mo began to trust him more (not fully)
