Guess who’s baaaaack? After many months of struggling my way through one of the toughest semesters of school I’ve ever had, I’m finally on winter break and I’m ready to get back to making my glorious pixel art again! Now at first I was only planning to draw my creatures for the Ice element over break, but I was looking back on some of my older creations and decided they needed some improvement. So starting off with my Fulgur Goat here, my main gripe with that design was the way the neck looked way to long and thin for its body, and while I could have just erased the neck and redrawn it I decided to completely scrap the original design and redraw it from scratch. The overall design is still the same, but I swapped out the little tail club for a more natural looking tip and made the proportions a lot better, and I think the end result is a massive improvement! The inspirations are still the same; the two goats in Norse Mythology that pulled Thor’s chariot and made the sound of thunder as they ran, as well as stone formations called fulgurite that are formed when lightning strikes soft terrain like sand which this creature uses like armor. I’m super proud of this design, I always loved the idea behind it and now with its new and improved design I love it even more, so I hope you all enjoy it as well and I’ll be back soon with another long overdue redesign!
