Because of just how many semi-aquatic birds there are in the real world, I knew I had to include one among my Water enemies. And while choosing just one might sound like a daunting task, for me it was actually an obvious choice: the Great Blue Heron. Not only are these birds well known for being expert fish hunters, but I’ve actually seen them with my own eyes thanks to where I live, so this was a pretty easy decision from the get-go. Of course, like I did with the Ocean Otter yesterday, I added some extra feathering to the design to make it both look more interesting and feel more like an aquatic creature. So in some ways, I guess the other water fowl of the world are getting represented here after all! Anyways, I hope all of you enjoy this bird and I’ll be back tomorrow for my next creature!
