Ok, I don’t even know where to start with talking about this creature, so I’m just going to dive right into it. First off, I wanted to base the design on an Electric Eel- my reasons for choosing that as one of my Lightning enemies should be incredibly obvious- as well as a few elements from mythical sea serpents make it more interesting. Unfortunately, the first interaction of the design came out being too much of a sea serpent and not enough of an eel. As much as I liked that original version, the fact that it really didn’t resemble the thing it was supposed to be based on on really bothered me, so after reworking the design a bit I’ve ended up with something much more in-line with both of its inspirations. The only thing I’m still not super happy with is the name I’ve chosen for it, but I think it fits the vibe of this guy and I can always go back and revise it later. This took way longer to draw than I was expecting it to, but overall I think it proved to be worth it, so I hope all of you enjoy this beast as well and I’ll see you tomorrow for the next addition to the bestiary!
