"Spoilers for Traveler & Artist!"

Ok, so. The wars that had torn the world apart for hundreds of years had finally ended. Now came the reconstruction after so much damage. However, for Akita something else had happened...Her soul was bound to her Mentalian's, Astra (or Lightfire). This was a development after one of the last fights. Akita had taken a blade meant for Merli (yes they are dating by this point!!!) and the wounds were in fact nearly fatal. If it weren't for Astra, that is. Astra transferred her magic to Akita to keep Akita alive. This worked, but the way Astra did it had...unexpected effects. Such as Akita & Astra being soulbound. This connected Astra to Akita's body, and Akita to Astra's dagger...So now they have to work out the kinks! The magic is interesting, though. Art and Light Magic combined...a type of magic blessed by Vento. It's crazy powerful!

Also, side note! If you were wondering, her left wing got pretty badly injured...It's no longer usable and is beyond Lightfire's healing, but Merli's been working on cybernetic solutions!

Since the wars had finally ended, Akita and Merli spent a lot of their time traveling, helping others heal from the damage of the wars as well as studying Akita's new abilities. Eventually, Merli and Darian decided to try the bond Akita and Astra had...It worked. How interesting indeed! Anywho, they've been exploring and traveling since. Pretty soon, they'll find a place to settle down, so long as it's somewhere away from all the rumors...Till there's something else that might happen...

Either way, the wars took a heavy toll on her mind. All of the trauma, all of the pain, all of the memories she tried to block out. They were coming back, and she finally had a chance to deal with them, to heal, to remember. Maybe it was finally time to heal and grow from everything that has happened, like Astra has told her...
