So, I previously stated that I didn’t want to use birds for most of my Wind creatures, since they’re the most obvious and predictable choice and I want to be more original than that. Having said that, I still wanted to include at least one among the roster, hence my final Wind enemy and Apex of the element right here. The reason I picked an owl, specifically the Spotted Eagle Owl with some elements of the Eastern Screech Owl, over any other bird is because of their ties to sound. Wind magic in my fantasy world can be used to control sound, since sound is just vibrations in the air, and since owls have specially shaped feathers that let them fly silently and very famous vocalizations, making this owl creature with an arsenal revolving around sound attacks was a perfect choice. And although it took me a while to come up with a color scheme that worked for this design, I think what I’ve landed on here is the best version I could come up with. With that said, I hope all of you enjoy this feathery fellow and I’ll see you next week for the next element on the list; Earth!
